Sewing Projects
Glitz and Glam
Never did a cheap place mat, a beaded napkin ring and a few minutes at the sewing machine yield such luxurious results! This purse is romantic and polished enough for any special do or the bride’s essentials on her special day.
Requirements
• Rectangular ivory satin brocade place mat with angled corners*
• 5 cm (2") beaded napkin ring
• 56 cm x 2.5 cm wide satin ribbon (22" x 1")
• Matching thread
To make up

1 With placemat flat, measure and mark fold lines with pins.
2 Fold bottom of purse up and topstitch sides together.
3 Centre and handstitch napkin ring, extending over the edge of the flap, to right side of top edge
HANDY HINT: Let the stitches fall between the beads to hide them.
