Learn to weave in  weekend

Hosted by the Asasociation of Guids of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers, budding arts and crafts enthusiasts have the opportunity of learning to weave, spin and dye at a special weekend course at Liverpool Hope university.

There will be expert tuition from leading artists in a variety of textile techniques, including felt making, basket-weaving and shibori. Open tot he public the weekend workshops take place at the Liverpool Hope University's Cornerstone Campus from 8 - 10 August.

Other courses on offer include spinning for beginners, simple weave structures, braiding, construction with beads and developing surfaces through stitch.

The workshosp are part of the FABRICreATIONS, the National Exhibition of the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers which run at the university from 25 July until 22 August.
