Alice Kettle, well known in the sewing industry, is giving a talk and running a workshop at Compton Verney on 26 and 27 July as part of the Fabric of Myth exhibition (see Show News for exhibition details).

The workshop, sponsored by Madeira threads and with machines supplied by Pfaff, will be ‘Drawing a story in stitch’. Starting by visiting the Fabric of Myth exhibition, “attendees will use this as reference to draw our own myths and stories with machine stitch” explained Alice.

The talk is called Narrated Stitch and will include a description of Alice Kettle’s recent work.
